New WBO Flyweight Champion Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez (18-0 11KOs) will have five days to inform the WBO of his injury status. The WBO issued a letter to Matchroom today requesting the injury and recovery status report for Rodriguez. Rodriguez suffered a broken jaw in April when he defeated Cristian Gonzalez by unanimous decision to win the vacant title.
Bam 23, is seeking a big time unification showdown with the IBF Flyweight Champion Sunny Edwards. Edwards outpointed Andres Campos over the weekend.
