Usyk 36, the three belt unified Champion was ordered to face Dubois after multiple failed attempts to make the Undisputed fight with WBC Champion Tyson Fury. Talks of Usyk-Fury for December in Saudi Arabia has been mentioned but nothing has been made official. Usyk is coming off back to back wins over former unified Champion Anthony Joshua.
Dubois 25, is coming off a scare in his last fight vs Kevin Lerena after suffering three 1st round knockdowns. To his credit, Dubois roared back and stopped Lerena in the 3rd round in a wild shootout. After the fight, Dubois was diagnosed with a torn right ACL. Doctors have sent medical reports to the WBA clearing Dubois to fight Usyk. However, if Dubois cannot commit to the Usyk fight, WBA will order their #1 contender Deontay Wilder to replacement him.
Garcia 31, was stopped in his last fight on January 7th by Gervonta Davis at Lightweight. Garcia was allowed to keep his title at Super Featherweight with the understanding that his mandatory would be called next. Garcia won his world title vs Roger Gutierrez in August 2022. That win capped off a great 2022 for Garcia who defeated Chris Colbert in February 2022.
Roach 27, a former world title challenger, became WBA mandatory in August 2022 when he defeated Angel Rodriguez by unanimous decision. This will be Roach's second attempt at world title. Jamel Herring turned back Roach in November 2019 in WBO World Junior Lightweight title fight.
