Team Alaniz Wins Petition With the WBO and WBC; Marlen Esparza vs Gabriela Alaniz Rematch is Ordered

Team Alaniz petition to the WBO and WBC for an immediate rematch between Unified WBC, WBA & WBO Flyweight Champion Marlen Esparza and Gabriela Alaniz has been granted. Both teams has 20 days to make a deal before a purse bid will be ordered.

Alaniz lost her WBO Flyweight title to Esparza on July 8th in a highly competitive fight. Official scores were 95-95, 99-91 and 97-93 in for Esparza.
