Tay Jones Returns The Ring On April 27th In Mexico Against Omar Tienda

Tay Jones (6-2 2KOs) will make his ring return after a two plus year layoff to face Mexican Omar Tienda (25-7 18KOs) in a super lightweight contest.

This event will be presented by Carbajal Boxing in association with WAR Boxing and Master Boxing.

Jones released a statement to LDUBB Boxing;

"Tell the trolls, two years off a traumatic accident, I run to the smoke not away from it!!"

Jones was in bad car accident in late 2022 just weeks before the birth of his daughter. After an intensive rehab, Jones is ready return and make statement.

The boxing community is familiar with Jones for a being member of Team Deontay Wilder, former WBC Heavyweight Champion.

Jones produced a viral highlight knockout in his last fight in 2021 against Matthew Knauss.

Tienda is 32 fight veteran and has fought some tough competition during his 12 year career. Notable opponents are Keyshawn Davis, Giovanni Santillan and Dennis Galarza.
